Case: ESCAPE is a non-profit organization that provides child abuse prevention, intervention and treatment through a unique intervention model that focuses on protecting, securing and developing children’s development through strengthening and re educating families via professional home visits. Given the nature of child abuse, ESCAPE desired to establish communication strategies that could change the public’s perception of child abuse as “other people’s problem” and lift the “family bubble”. The idea was to start communicating how child neglect and improper child development patterns are a key part of the problem.
Challenge: Although ESCAPE has been providing services to families for many years in Puerto Rico, they had not established the ESCAPE brand in the country. ESCAPE needed to develop a communication strategy that could properly connect with the public using a positive approach to preventing child abuse.
Result: alius researched best practices in child abuse prevention and non profit practices and developed a comprehensive communication plan including: messaging, voice, approach and overall strategy and focus. The approach used brought expert advice, children’s voice and meaningful developmental tips for parents into one concept. This concept was further developed in all aspects of brand including: Advertising Campaign, Corporate Video, Fundraising Event Development among others.
